Finding listings
How do I search for open homes in a specific suburb?
Type the suburb name into the search bar at the top of the listings page. Matching suburbs will appear in a dropdown. Select one to filter. You can add multiple suburbs at once.
How do I filter by bedrooms, bathrooms, or property type?
Use the Beds & Baths button in the toolbar to set minimum bedroom and bathroom counts. Tap Refine for more options including property type (house, apartment, townhouse), title type, agency, and price range.
How does the map view work?
Toggle the interactive map using the map icon in the header toolbar. Listings appear as pins. Tap any pin to see the listing card. The map is great for exploring by neighbourhood and planning a driving route between open homes.
What do the date headings mean?
Listings are grouped by viewing date, e.g. 'Viewings this Saturday · 28 March'. Each group shows all open homes running on that day. The times displayed on each card are the open home window, for example '10 AM - 11 AM'.
Images & listings
Why is my image not uploading?
We support JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC image formats. To check your image format:
• iPhone: open the image in Files. The file name extension shows the format (e.g. photo.heic).
• Mac: right-click the image, Get Info, look under 'Kind'.
• Windows: right-click, Properties, look at the file extension.
If your image is in another format (e.g. TIFF or BMP), convert it using Preview on Mac or a free online converter such as Squoosh.
What's the maximum image size?
Each image should be under 10 MB. We recommend uploading at 1200–2400px wide for the best display quality. Images are automatically optimised for fast loading.
Why is the hero image missing on a listing?
If a hero image fails to load, it's moved to the end of the gallery automatically so the remaining photos still display. If the issue persists, contact us with the listing address and we'll investigate.
How do I submit a listing?
Tap 'List an open home' in the sidebar menu. Fill in the property details, upload photos, and set the viewing time. Listings are reviewed before going live to ensure quality. Agents can manage multiple listings from the Agent Dashboard.
Saving & planning
How do I save a listing?
Tap the heart icon on any listing card or inside the expanded listing view (next to the address). You'll need a free sweethome account to save homes across sessions. Your saves sync across devices when logged in.
What is 'Plan my weekend'?
Plan my weekend shows all your saved viewings in date order so you can map out your Saturday or Sunday route. Find it in the sidebar under My sweethome.
Can I see listings I viewed in the past?
Yes. Tap 'Past listings' in the sidebar under My sweethome to see open homes that have already run. This is useful for comparing properties you visited.
Property & title types
What is a Freehold title?
Freehold (also called Fee Simple) means you own the land and building outright. It's the most straightforward form of ownership and is typically preferred by buyers.
What is a Leasehold title?
Leasehold means you own the building but lease the land from another party (often a council, iwi trust, or private landowner). Lease terms and ground rent can affect mortgage eligibility and resale value.
What is a Unit Title?
Unit Title is common in apartments and multi-unit developments. You own your individual unit plus a share of common areas (hallways, lifts, gardens). A Body Corporate manages shared areas and levies apply.
What is a Cross Lease title?
Cross Lease means two or more owners share legal ownership of the land. Each owner has an exclusive-use area (their home). Any changes to the footprint of your dwelling usually require consent from other cross-lease owners.
Accounts & privacy
How do I create an account?

On the login screen, tap 'Forgot password' and enter your email address. We'll send a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
